I'd like to introduce some new features to our active Shout Box users!

SUBSCRIPTION FEATURES

• Click on "Edit Your Profile" in the top left corner of this page.
• Click on the "Subscriptions" tab in your profile.
• You will see that there are several type of things that you can subscribe to:

"Threads"

Shows which conversations you are subscribed to within the Shout Box. To subscribe to them, you click on the "Subscribe Topic" link at the top of each topic that you are interested in.

"Blogs"
Shows which blogs you are subscribed to.

"Categories"
Allows you to subscribe to the various categories of the Shout Box.

"Content types"
Lets you subscribe to various types of new content, blog entries, forum topics, and/or events.

"RSS Feed"
Subscribe you to any piece of new content that is created on Unity08.com.

These are the current rules for use and posting to all Unity08 forums:

Hey everyone,
There's been talk about what the rules for these forums should be. Now, obviously, if there's a hole in the rules that you see it'd be good if you'd mention it, and of course if someone finds a technicality in the rules to create havoc that annoys 90% of the people who regularly use the forum, it will be immediately dealt with.

Anyway, as a very loose and casual draft (*please note, rough draft*), I was thinking of the following. Please give any and all input against and/or for any of the draft, and also anything you think should be added. Obviously some of these are obviously new, so please consider and respond.

1. No derogatory, racist, or threatening attacks against others in the forum. You can question people directly, but please refrain from using personal attacks and profanity (And questioning people directly does not include "Why are you _________(profanity goes here)?").
2. No off topic posts. Off topic posts/topics will be locked, moved, or deleted. Moderators will typically post why a topic was locked, moved, or deleted unless the offender habitually has done so. (user notification will probably drop off as the forums get larger and/or if we add a search function)

Currently we are looking at new ways to organize the Shoutbox to organize it more effectively and to make it easier to use for you. Any changes that you see to the Shoutbox will be as a result of your input and dedication to Unity08.

The first thing that will be done is reorganizing the shoutbox so that it's easier to find related topics. No longer will there be topics on the same issue on multiple forums; like most moderated forums, topics will start being moved under the subject heading that they belong.

Please use this thread to post any features/changes you'd like to see to the shoutbox. Due to the limitations of the technology, not all requests will be able to be completed. In addition to suggestions for changes, please think about (and post) what you think about the following.

1. Are there any topic categories that are missing that would be relevent? Topic categories that are not needed?
2. Do you think certain topics/threads should belong in other places? Which ones? Why?
