John Anderson, Ross Perot -- efforts to start with a presidential change have a long failed history. Conservatives have been spectacularly successful by starting eith school boards, private schools, local elections, and working up to Congress, then the White House. Why can't we learn from their patience and insight on issue control?

TCDNow,

You startegy / tactic is a good one.

WHY is Unity not doing this. It is a specfific decision by the folks who hold all the structural power in this organization.

Their decision is based on what they want to accomplish and how they want to manuever certain campaign finance regulations. At least this is their stated reason.

You can still affect local politics by voting for the individual that posesses a moderate stance.. regardless of their party.

Also, with the way things are going, I'm not sure we have the time to go through the long tedious process that you outline.
