The main issue in my plan as stated is : The System Is Not "Broken" It Became Dangerous & Redundant In about 1947 - When America Assumed The Role Of Leader Of The Western World and Champion of Individual Rights & Freedoms For All Humankind !!

THE SYSTEM as I refer to it is : The Procedure By Which The American People Hire, Control & Fire - The People Who Control Their Daily Lives & Destiny !!

Under the system then and now ...

There Are No Provisions Whereby All American Voters Get To Vet All Candidates For Office !!

There Are No Provisions Whereby All American Voters Can Monitor & Control The Performance and Accountability of All Elected Representatives !!

We are no longer one Nation under God - We are 50 Nations Whose Elected Representatives Are Out To Grab all they can for their State SO THEY CAN KEEP THEIR JOBS !!

We are no longer a Nation affected only by our domestic successes and failures, we are a Nation that's assumed the role of a Super Power - responsible for our successes and failures in dealing with other Nations and Societies !!

JOHN, and we're trying to do all this with the SAME SYSTEM. Operating Policies & Procedures We Employed As One Nation Under God - with nothing to really worry about as the money kepi rolling in !!

JOHN, this is a new - more dangerous and complex World, The Evidence Is Clear & Convincing : The American People Can No Longer Afford A Political System That Lacks Protective Measures To Insure The Wisdom, Dedication and Integrity - of Its Government's Planning and Operations - both Domestic & Foreign !!

"Pete's Plan For Political & Management Reform" - is the only practical and common sense solution for achieving UNITY08's objectives in time for the coming elections.

Show me something more practical (short of a coup-d'etat) - that will CLEARLY DO THE JOB quicker, easier and better AND I'LL VOTE FOR IT !!

And David unless you have changed from antiUNITY08 to pro UNITY08 and can improve on my ideas, ssshhhh !

A few other ideas--
1. weekly you tube videos of people, events, and issue debates, --or other podcasts

2. recruit American Bloggers for Inclusive Debates to post weekly blogs about the issues, and any other political blogs that are trying to level the political playing field.

3. use digg.com and de-li-cios to spread acticles and press releases,--even if all of the releases don't get attention, it is still visibility and recruitment.

4.) have everyone put the logo labels and widgets on their blog or website--if you don't have a blog or website, at least get some sort of social networking site and proudly display the Unity 08 logo. Or start a blog or site with other members of Unity 08.

put a Unity08 Thingy on my blog .. I'm 83 - self taught and not too sharp on the computer ..

Based on what I have read here and the people associated with this enterprise, it is hardly a plan for the dispossessed and everyman to topple 'the corrupt two party system", though that is the image it is creating for itself.

Unity '08 is a klavern of liberal (I mean, moderate, that is, progressive, umm, Centrist) Washington insiders and elitist others with plans to hijack an election which features two fumbling and irrelevant political parties trying to preserve the status quo, and take power to promote a liberal agenda for the country.

Your experience with all the beltway insider tricks, mastery of the emerging web techniques and assets, and expected creation of legions of Unity '08 youth may be very impressive. What salute will those U09 youth cadres use? All the good ones were taken in previous regimes and movements.
